“Forest” Earrings

I wear these earrings any time I’m wearing red, and sometimes when wearing yellow. They’re also from 2010, which you can probably see by the sloppy-ish wire wrapping, and the way the silver tarnished since then. I like that they look prickly, and that the colors of the stones are of earthy and green tones, very reminiscent of summer forest colors.


These photos are in the evening light on a really dreary day. For these earrings this meant a washed out capture for the prehites, and a too dark capture for the tourmalines.


In this photo, you can tell the way the prehite looks to the eye


The small yellowish beads are not tourmaline, but I can’t remember what they are…


Curiously, these earrings photographed best against the wood balcony floor, which is a warmer grey that I find truly neutral
